Overview
The GPT Markdown to Documents is a Google Docs add-on designed to convert Markdown text into fully formatted Google Docs content. Whether you’re working with headings, lists, code blocks, or tables, this tool allows you to effortlessly transform your Markdown into polished documents.

Installation
1. Install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
2. Authorize the required permissions:
• View and manage your Google Docs documents: This permission allows the add-on to insert the converted Markdown into your Google Docs.
• Display and run third-party web content: Enables the sidebar UI where you input your Markdown.
Usage
1. Open Google Docs and navigate to Extensions > ChatGPT Markdown to Google Doc Converter.
2. Input your Markdown text in the sidebar that opens.
3. Optionally, check “Set first heading as Google Document Title” to set the document title based on the first heading.
4. Click “Convert Markdown” to insert the formatted content into your document.
5. The converted Markdown will appear in your Google Doc with the specified formatting.
Known Limitations
• Tables: While tables are supported, some complex table styles may not be fully preserved.
• Content Positioning: Imported content is appended to the end of the document; selective replacement is not supported.

• Q: How do I reset the document title if I accidentally set it?
• A: Simply uncheck the “Set first heading as Google Document Title” option and rerun the conversion.
